3/11/2023

Have you ever felt a deep connection to a particular animal? Perhaps you find yourself drawn to its characteristics and feel a sense of familiarity with its behavior. This may be a sign that you have a spirit animal. Discovering your spirit animal can be a fun and enlightening experience that can bring you closer to nature and yourself.

So how do you go about finding out what your spirit animal is? Here are some steps to help you on your journey:

Connect with nature
The first step in finding your spirit animal is to connect with nature. Spend time outside, whether it’s in a park, a garden, or a forest. Take in the sights, sounds, and smells around you. Pay attention to the animals you see and the feelings they evoke in you.

Meditate or journey
Meditation and journeying can help you connect with your inner self and the spirit world. Sit or lie down in a comfortable position, close your eyes, and focus on your breathing. Allow yourself to relax and let go of any thoughts or distractions. When you feel calm and centered, imagine yourself in a beautiful natural setting. See yourself walking through a forest, a meadow, or by a river. As you explore this space, ask the universe or your higher self to reveal your spirit animal to you. Be open to any images, feelings, or messages that come to you.

Pay attention to dreams and visions
Your spirit animal may reveal itself to you in a dream or vision. Keep a dream journal and write down any animal symbols or encounters you have. Look for patterns or recurring themes. You may also receive messages from your spirit animal through synchronicities or coincidences. For example, you may see the same animal several times in a short period, or you may hear its call or see its image in unexpected places.

Research animal symbolism
Many cultures and traditions have assigned meanings and symbolism to different animals. Research the animals you are drawn to and see if their traits and characteristics resonate with you. For example, if you feel a connection to the wolf, you may find that it represents loyalty, intuition, and a strong sense of community. If you feel drawn to the owl, you may discover that it symbolizes wisdom, intuition, and the ability to see beyond the veil.

Ask for guidance
If you are still unsure about your spirit animal, ask for guidance from a trusted spiritual teacher or guide. They may be able to help you interpret your dreams and visions, or offer insights into the animals that appear in your life. You can also do a tarot or oracle card reading to gain clarity and guidance.

Once you have discovered your spirit animal, it’s important to honor and connect with it. Here are some ways to do so:

Learn about your spirit animal
Research your spirit animal and learn about its behaviors, habits, and symbolism. Understanding your spirit animal can help you better understand yourself and your own strengths and weaknesses.

Connect with your spirit animal in nature
Spend time in nature and imagine your spirit animal by your side. Feel its energy and presence as you walk, meditate, or simply enjoy the beauty around you. You may also leave offerings or tokens of gratitude for your spirit animal, such as feathers, stones, or herbs.

Incorporate your spirit animal into your daily life
Incorporate your spirit animal into your daily life in meaningful ways. For example, if your spirit animal is the bear, you may surround yourself with bear imagery or wear a piece of bear jewelry. You may also incorporate the bear’s traits into your life, such as strength, courage, and introspection.

Call on your spirit animal for guidance
When you need guidance or support, call on your spirit animal for assistance. Visualize your spirit animal and ask for its wisdom and guidance. You may also choose to do a meditation or journey specifically to connect with your spirit animal and receive its messages.

Discovering your spirit animal can be a powerful and transformative experience. It can help you tap into your intuition, connect with nature, and gain insights into your own strengths and weaknesses. Remember to approach this process with an open mind and heart, and be patient and persistent in your quest. Your spirit animal may reveal itself to you in unexpected ways and at unexpected times. Embrace the journey and enjoy the adventure!

Attitude of Gratitude - Its not a Secret

2/26/2023

While I sit here on a Friday, having a Earth Rider Superior Pale Ale, I sit in a place of gratitude for where I'm at in life.  (that's where the blog ended on Friday, so let’s fast forward to Sunday....)

We all have history and have accumulated baggage from the time we're born.  We take it with us wherever we go as our baggage in a way becomes our story.  The memory of who we were before and constantly comparing it to who we are today.  Making sure that we're reconciling our thoughts, beliefs, morals, and thought patterns we've collected over the years with how we look, think, act, and respond to situations happening today.  It’s like a constant audit happening from one moment to the next to make sure that we're operating within the confines of who we determined ourselves to be.  Pushing away things that we've told ourselves are "not me" and only taking on those things that support who we believe define our identity.  Its tiring and in my journey, I'm learning that, it’s exhausting.  Judging every thought to make sure it matches with the images of who we are is getting to be a bit much.  For an overthinker like myself, in OCD fashion, it’s what seems like a second full time job.

But as I'm progressing with my shadow work, I see who I am and I'm finding out that I really don't have to do that anymore.  We are not our thoughts.  They seem to fly in and out of our minds like water and I've been sitting there with my measuring cup examining every ounce.  I don't really understand how I got to be at this point, but as Tori says, "it’s time to wave goodbye now."  It’s time to be comfortable with thoughts coming in that make no sense or are troubling and let them pass through.  That's my goal anyways as I'm tired of feeling like there's an auditor in my head keeping score of what I think and whether I grab onto the thought.

Which brings us to gratitude.  The more mindful I am about the moment I'm in and being grateful, the easier things seem to get.  I don't worry very much anymore compared to when this all started.  I'm in a much better place and considering how hard I've been manifesting and working towards personal and business goals; I'd say that both my husband and I have done damn good.
Picture
But what I am most grateful for are the people who have been in my life for a very long time.  These are the people that when I was at my lowest, lifted me back up with the message that "you are the goddamn prize!"  They've stuck by me for so long I don't have words to describe just how grateful I am for it. Its been 25 years since college and it’s like no time has passed at all.  During one of my greatest moments, they stood for me in my wedding as my maid of honor and bridesmaids, and I couldn't have been more blessed with the perfection of that day.  It’s as if the universe conspired to provide the perfect day and a moment in time just for us with our friends and loved ones who traveled from the corners of the country just to be there.  I am blessed that the crew I became an adult with is still with me today.

There is far too much to account for in the realm of the gratitude department for me.  It just keeps coming.  But what I found is to be grateful even if you're not in the place you want to be at yet.  If you want something sincerely, for example, just be thankful and say, "I'm grateful for having a new car and the means to pay it off."  Once you give that thought enough energy (but don't OCD it like I do) you'll be surprised when it comes to pass.  Abraham Hicks, someone from YouTube I highly recommend, talks about manifestation all the time.  The biggest message is to sit in the energy of where you want to be as if you're already there.  All that is, is just feeling what it would be like to have it and feel the feeling of having it.  Sit in that feeling long enough, and watch it come to you.  But don't let your ego say "this isn't working" or somehow talk yourself out of deserving it somehow.  Just exist as if you already have it.  Try it for a while.  You won't be disappointed.

As I am working on dinner with a couple of great friends, listening to Tori Amos, all I can say is, thank you to the energy that makes all this possible.  Thank you for understanding that my head is a challenge to understand, that I really have pure intentions, and helping the husband and I to have this great life we have.  I'll end with, "I can't wait to see just how much better it can get!"

Will you be my Valentine?

2/14/2023

Love is in the air on February 14th as people around the world celebrate Valentine's Day, a holiday that has been linked to love and romance for centuries. From the ancient Roman festival of Lupercalia to the modern-day traditions of exchanging cards and gifts, Valentine's Day has a long and fascinating history.

One of the earliest origins of Valentine's Day can be traced back to the ancient Roman festival of Lupercalia, which was celebrated annually on February 13-15. The festival was named after Lupercus, the Roman god of fertility and shepherds, and was intended to purify the city and promote health and fertility. During the festival, young men known as Luperci would run through the streets of Rome, striking anyone they encountered with strips made from the hides of sacrificed animals. It was believed that being struck by these strips would bring fertility and ward off evil spirits.

Over time, the festival of Lupercalia became associated with love and romance, and the practice of exchanging gifts and cards on Valentine's Day began to emerge. One of the earliest known Valentine's Day messages was written in the 15th century by Charles, Duke of Orleans, to his wife while he was imprisoned in the Tower of London. The message, which is now regarded as the first Valentine's Day card, reads:

Je suis desja d'amour tanné,
Ma tres doulce Valentinée,
Car pour moi fustes trop tard née,
Et moi pour vous fus trop tost né.

Translated into English, the message means:

I am already sick of love,
My very gentle Valentine,
Since for me you were born too late,
And I for you was born too soon.

The custom of exchanging Valentine's Day cards and gifts continued to evolve over time, with cards and gifts becoming more elaborate and romantic. Today, people around the world celebrate Valentine's Day in a variety of ways, with flowers, chocolates, jewelry, and other gifts being popular choices for romantic partners.

In the United States, Valentine's Day is often celebrated with the exchange of cards, flowers, and chocolates, as well as romantic dinners and other special events. Many couples also take the opportunity to express their love and affection to each other with heartfelt messages and special gestures of love.

In Japan, Valentine's Day has a slightly different focus, with women giving chocolates to men as a sign of their affection. Women often give chocolates to their romantic partners as well as male coworkers and friends, and there is also a custom of giving "obligation chocolates" to male coworkers as a sign of friendship.

In South Korea, Valentine's Day is celebrated with the exchange of gifts and flowers between romantic partners, and there is also a separate holiday called "White Day" on March 14th, when men are expected to give gifts to their female partners.

In some Latin American countries, Valentine's Day is known as "Dia de los Enamorados" or "Dia del Amor y la Amistad" (Day of Love and Friendship) and is celebrated with the exchange of gifts and cards between romantic partners and friends.

Regardless of the specific customs and traditions associated with Valentine's Day in different parts of the world, the holiday is universally celebrated as a time to express love and affection to those closest to us. Whether it's a romantic partner, a family member, or a friend, Valentine's Day is an opportunity to show appreciation for the people in our lives and to celebrate the power of love.

To thine own self be true

2/2/2023

Picture
We all have those moments in our lives that are pivotal to determining what comes next.  I have tended to look at life like a choose-your-own-adventure book.  You know, the kind that you get to a point in the story and you get to choose to go to page 48 or 152 to keep reading what happens next, based on your choice.  As my loving Dr. Who would say, they are time-locked or something that could never be changed or stopped from happening.

I've had a couple of these in my lifetime so far.  A memorable one was coming out in 1994 on Thanksgiving to my mother that I was *gasp* a homosexual (say that in your best Beverly Leslie).  A calculated move since I was going back to college that night and didn't have to experience the fall-out, but still once you say something like that you really can't take it back.  In my case anyways.  I never really say something unless I mean it, sans mind-altering substances of course. Those were the days that you wore chains with rainbow colored rings on them.  My father made fun of them on a visit to his house once and called them something I can't repeat and I came out to him as well.  Neither were fun, but that's the nutshell version. There should have been years of therapy there, but what's the point.

What's really the kicker here is that coming out as a friend of Dorothy was nothing compared to the anxiety around coming out as a tarot reader.  Of all things.  Who knew there could be something higher on some people's list of things to stay away from.

But people are afraid of things they don't understand.  They put stigma on things so other people won't like it so they have something in common to stand against.  Its human nature.  However, its a rule of thumb for me not to associate with people who have a list of things you have to be in order to be accepted.  I'm happy on the outside and not being a joiner.  Not having a list of what someone needs to be makes it a lot easier to meet new and interesting people.  That's what life is for isn't it; to have as many experiences as you can so you can report back to the mothership (insert your version of a higher power here) everything you learned?

I embraced tarot reading as a tool for divination.  There are many tools.  If you're reading my Esoterics section of my journal you'll see there is plenty to choose from.  I picked up on tarot because I am able to use the images and symbols on the cards to divine messages for my clients.  The book that comes with the deck is fine, but at the end of the day its the pictures that inspire the right words to say at the time.  For the most part I'd say I'm pretty good, I've only had two clients that I just couldn't connect with to do a reading.  Why sit down for a reading when your belief system isn't ready for it.

This part of my world was really hard for me to grab onto at first.  I am a scientist by trade, so my "left" brain wanted evidence and data to support what my "right" brain was getting from the cards.  But as my experience grew it was easy to satisfy both sides with the feedback I get from my clients.  The many "how did you know that" comments and people who come back months later and tell me that what I said would happen did happen because they didn't change course.  Its amazing and something I have a lot of gratitude for being able to help people like that.

But really I attribute it to what spirit/creator/etc. inspires me to say at that given moment in time.  Specifically what part of the card to look at to know what to say.  It relies on how I interpret the card to give the reading they need and who to send to me to read for.  Its all divinely directed and I'm happy to do my part with this gift.

So, tarot readers unite! (you don't know how many times I spelled that "untie" and it looked right)

I do offer a tarot share at our store once a month and we're looking at doing it online so more can participate.  If you're interested, go to the menu on this page and look for Tarot Share under Divination Services.  It will give you all the details.

So the moral of the story here is just to be your true authentic self.  The people you resonate with will come to you to form a community of people you can call your own.  Just believe in yourself first.  The moment you feel you have to live up to someone's expectations to socialize, that's your red flag to get out.

Fair season has started

1/28/2023

Picture
It's the start of fair season! And I'm going to need some tire chains for this wheelchair.

As some of you know, the big man and I manage metaphysical fairs in the Wisconsin and Minnesota area.  We are so fortunate to have an army of vendors who work at our fairs and provide our patrons with the services to which they are in need.  We have most of metaphysical areas covered between tarot and astrology, Reiki and Shamans, crystal vendors and merchandise, just name a few.

If you're interested in joining our fairs, its really easy.

Go to https://www.metaparapro.com/vendors to see our list of upcoming events to join in on the fun!

Divination is a big part of the fair in its many different forms. My contribution is tarot reading, which has been my interest since college days.  While I've always had this "knowing" growing up, it wasn't until the era of the movie "The Craft" and "Practical Magic" that I too opened up to the metaphysical and what it had to offer.  While I had to stifle this part of me for many years after, I came back to it and I couldn't be happier.

I chose tarot for divination because its a tool I can understand and relate to.  While I glanced at the authors instruction manual, for me its moreso looking at the pictures on the cards and what they mean to the person that I'm reading for.  A card can have multiple meanings for different people and its the part of the card that spirit draws my attention to when I'm giving the reading that makes all the difference.

When I start my readings I open the channel and from there its go time until the reading is over.  I barely remember the things I tell people and I find that's pretty much normal, as the messages I'm giving are not for me to remember, but for the people I'm reading for to take what resonates with them and to consider the other information as they go forward after the reading.

I love the fair atmosphere.  You gain so many life long friends in this community and its so filled with love and compassion that's so sincere.  These people are in it because they're called to it and fairs give them a venue to serve the community with the gifts they've been given.  So much talent together in a room and the energies give you such a high... and yes, that's just sage their burning. lol.

I personally enjoy getting my aura photography read and may sit with an astrologer on occasion.  Even though I know enough to be dangerous, its always great to get a professional's interpretation of just what's going on in the present and what to look for in the future.  Its a blessing to be able to take part with the vendors as much as it is to read for my clients.

So tomorrow will be the start of a great season of fairs.  We normally take December/January-ish off, so its nice to be back.  But I'm going to be sure to take up a Reiki healing tomorrow to get some good energy into this leg of mine.  I miss walking.

Ascension and the Shadow

1/26/2023

Picture
Ascension, also known as spiritual enlightenment, is the belief that one can transcend the physical world and reach a higher state of consciousness. This concept has been present in many spiritual traditions throughout history, from ancient Eastern religions such as Hinduism and Buddhism, to Western esoteric teachings. In these traditions, the path to ascension often involves practices such as meditation, prayer, and self-discipline, as well as a deep understanding of the nature of reality. This understanding is said to lead to a transcendence of the ego, and a connection to a higher power or ultimate reality. In more recent times, the idea of ascension has also been popularized in New Age spiritual movements, which often focus on personal development and self-improvement. These movements often propose a range of techniques and practices, such as energy healing and visualization, to achieve spiritual growth and reach higher levels of consciousness.

One of the key aspects of the ascension process is shadow work, which is the process of exploring and integrating the darker aspects of one's psyche. This includes repressed emotions, negative traits, and unresolved past traumas that can affect one's behavior and emotional well-being. It is a process of self-discovery and personal growth that aims to bring these unconscious aspects to the surface, so that they can be acknowledged, understood, and integrated into the self.

In many spiritual traditions, shadow work is seen as an essential aspect of the ascension process. This is because the shadow self represents the parts of ourselves that we have disowned or repressed, and until we integrate these parts, we cannot reach a state of true self-awareness or spiritual enlightenment. In this sense, shadow work can be seen as a form of spiritual alchemy, where the darker aspects of the self are transformed into positive qualities. The process of shadow work can be challenging and uncomfortable, as it often involves facing difficult emotions and memories that have been buried deep within the psyche. However, it is also a powerful tool for personal growth and spiritual development.

By facing and integrating the shadow self, one can gain a deeper understanding of oneself and the world, and develop a more compassionate and authentic self. The goal of shadow work is to integrate the shadow self with the conscious self. This integration allows the individual to be more whole, and to be able to understand their actions and reactions from a deeper perspective. It also enables the individual to have more empathy and understanding towards others, and to be able to relate to other people in a more authentic and compassionate way.

Ascension is the belief that one can reach a higher state of consciousness through spiritual practices and a deep understanding of the nature of reality. Shadow work is an important aspect of the ascension process, as it allows individuals to integrate the unconscious parts of themselves and to develop a more authentic and compassionate self. The process of shadow work can be challenging, but the benefits it provides are well worth the effort. It helps individuals to understand themselves and the world around them, and to develop a deeper sense of self-awareness and spiritual enlightenment.

And a big thump was heard miles around

1/23/2023

Picture
I slipped... I fell... and the ground shook.

Its amazing how you take for granted the ability to walk.

I had a little accident last week and am now wheelchair-bound as I can't put weight on my right leg.  So I've had to rely on the kindness of my husband to take over a lot of the things I did when I was mobile.  Thank god for him and his ability to conquer tasks and making things work.  But that isn't the focus of this discussion, its more so energy healing.

While I'm a Reiki Master, it doesn't normally occur to me to work on healing myself.  I don't know what it is, but its quite common that we work with others and neglect ourselves.  So, I'm making a concerted effort to use the gifts I've been given to work on this bum leg of mine to see where it will go.

Although I didn't fracture my leg, it feels like I popped off my kneecap and ruptured the tendons holding everything around there together.  I couldn't even put my foot on the ground without sharp pain.  But as I started to work with Reiki on my leg, I literally felt it start sewing itself back together.  As each day passes I set aside some time to work on my leg and each time I can feel it light up and start weaving itself and reattaching.  Its very cool.

As we have embraced essential oils in our store with Terry being a rep for Doterra, we've started to use those more in our lives and its made an impact as well.  As he rubs a combination of essential oils on my leg, the relief is amazing.

Visualization has been a method too, seeing in my mind my leg getting stronger and reinforcing itself to rebuild the scaffolding that keeps it all together.  I feel it working and its a testament to how holistic treatments can have a positive effect on healing.

However, I see a MRI in my future to see if there's anything that should be done.  Because it took a big and strong friend of ours to get me in the house, leaving the house I feel may take a crane to get me in the car.  All I can say is, "why can't I levitate yet!" Ugh.  So I'm hoping that by the time I can get in to the doctors to follow-up with this, I'll be healed enough that surgery won't be necessary.  Abraham Hicks always says to expect miracles... well, that's just what I'm doing.

But I couldn't ask to be better cared for.  I tease Terry and tell him that I thought for sure he would have been the first one in a wheelchair, yet here I am.  The Livingroom has become my office, bedroom, and living quarters making sure the wheelchair can get me around.

So this will be a great test for me to see how far I can get using these gifts we all have to heal ourselves.  I'm pretty confident that by the time I am able to get into the doctors to follow-up from this that they'll be amazed.  Still, ice and me are no longer friends.

Picture a color in your mind

1/15/2023

Oh the places you'll go... My high school band director got that book by Dr. Suess for me when I graduated from high school.  Not even an adult yet, I turned 18 during my freshman year in college and the title of that book was something that I didn't truly appreciate until recently.  My path has been quite the adventure, going from a small town to all the places I've went should make an interesting read whenever my book of life is finished.  Which should be many thousands of years, since I plan to be immortal and travel the galaxy with Terry.  Based on all the amazing things that's happened to me so far, that somehow doesn't seem outside the realm of possibilities anymore.

Now that I'm about six years in to the part two of my life story, I look back and see how much I've evolved since the guy that thought he lost it all didn't actually lose anything since most of it was manufactured and contrived.  There a couple of things I still carry with me from Part One (which I consider everything after college), but the rest ended up in the recycle bin and emptied long ago.  Along with everything else, my connection with spirituality shifted immensely to where it exists today.  I don't think I'm alone in that.

The concept of religion wasn't one I grew up with.  Although at the age of 3 my mother found me talking to God while I was playing in the sandbox, she has always told me they never talked about it much in the house and was confused how I had picked up on something like that.  Interestingly enough, I do remember sitting in the sandbox and talking, but of course I don't remember the conversation.  Mom said she panicked, because she heard when young children talked about God like that it meant they were on their way out.  But I'm still here, although given my experiences I wonder how I survived to be typing this right now. Yes, everyone can say the same exact thing and I'm not alone in that sentiment, but from my perspective I have to shake my head sometimes and offer gratitude I still exist.

Anyways, I've gone from connecting to heaven and damnation to a place where I feel I'm heading towards my version of enlightenment.  Everyone's path is different of course, so when I say my version I mean its from my perspective.  Throughout the journey I have identified as a catholic, Lutheran, being "spiritual", naturalist, witchcraft (heaven forbid), and dabbled in many others along the way.  But I've come to a conclusion about myself that is where I sit right now and it makes sense to me.  Having a very scientific mind since I was little and graduating with a degree as a medical scientist, there are times when my scientific method part of mind battles with the spiritual side, but I've come to a place where there is some reconciliation between the two.

It all comes down to energy.  We are all energy, which is a scientific fact. We actually do glow or have bioluminescence, but our eyes can't register it with the wavelengths it can receive.  Whether you sit in prayer, meditate with intention, follow a structured incantation, or repeat words from a book of shadows, bible, or other document, you're focusing your energy on whatever it is you're trying to manifest into reality.  A Christian praying for a miracle to save a family member in reality is no different than a wiccan reciting an incantation to heal someone they love.  They're both using the power of thought and pure intention to manifest their desire into their reality. The only reason they each carry their own title is no different than all the people joining the different fraternities and sororities from college.  The group they joined had the same interests, perspective, and provided them with some benefit they perceived that gave them some type of status of one kind or another in the community they were in.  Humans crave a structure and framework in which to exist, so you congregate with those who seem the most like you. There's nothing wrong with that, but when its used to diminish those that choose not to have an association with any one group, to me it becomes a problem.  But that's a whole different conversation.

So at the end of the day, I chose not to have a label or be categorized into any one realm.  I choose to be a tourist, learning what I can from the information I'm able to gather and understand, and take from it what resonates with me and leave the rest behind.  The closest thing I can identify with is energy worker.  Primarily because I believe that thoughts and intention carry information to Source (God, The Universe, Higher Power, Creator, etm.) and through focused thought you make your intentions known and should it have enough energy, amps, voltage, whatever, it can bring that intention into reality.  I've seen it happen over and over again and if you have the right mindset, what you want can come to you almost instantaneously.  Effort behind the intention makes it even stronger.

I am constantly amazed by Terry, who is a Reiki Master, and how in just one session with him, clients experience such a physical and emotional shift that even they don't know what happened.  Watching a woman who can't move come out of a session with full mobility or following someone who was a shut-in now doing public presentations is a testament, at least to me, that working to modify your personal energy to a place that is more pleasing has long lasting results.  As humans, for the most part, we feel like we need permission in order to do something that seems outside our reach.  If anything, energy work informs someone that they have the ability to shift their focus to a happier place without needing someone to tell them its okay to do that.  But again, to me, its the physical ailments that disappear that still get me.  And its not just Terry, its all the Reiki energy workers that have similar stories of assisting someone to a better place.  What's nice to see is that now its going mainstream, with hospitals who have Reiki practitioners on call to work in surgical suites while patients are having surgery.  Some hospitals even have hospital departments just for metaphysical related modalities... see Mayo Clinic's Integrative Healing Enhancement program for an example.

And to those who's immediate response is that we're crazy, remember even people who are devout Christians' who in therapy talk about praying and having conversations with their higher power, can receive a diagnosis of having delusions in some circumstances. Then, of course, people tend to forget that in the bible there are passages like in Mark 16:17-18 and John 14:12 where even Jesus says that anyone who believes can heal the sick and perform miracles.  Its an ability that everyone has, its just we have been made ignorant of it or told that we're not allowed.  If the bible is being used as a reference, Jesus said it was okay, so you don't get more permission than that.

My best friend Jean and I, before I knew any of this stuff, would have fun calling the wind to see what would happen. It would come of course and it was a fun thing to do. Little did I know doing that was just focused intention and desire.  Manifesting is something everyone should know how to do.  Why leave fate to chance when you can write your own story.

Building a life and community

1/11/2023

Picture
The metaphysical community is a diverse and inclusive group of people who are united by a shared belief in the power of the unseen, the spiritual, and the greater mysteries of the universe. These individuals come from a wide range of backgrounds, cultures and modalities, from spiritual healers, psychics, mediums, and energy workers, to tarot readers, astrologers, shamans, and more.

One of the beautiful things about the metaphysical community is the diversity of its members, and the different modalities they come from. Each practitioner brings their own unique skills, experiences, and perspectives to the table, creating a rich tapestry of knowledge and understanding. The combination of these different modalities, can help an individual to get a more complete picture of themselves and their place in the world. It is not just about one specific thing, but rather a combination of different practices that make up the whole.

An increasing number of people are waking up to the understanding that there is more to this world than what meets the eye. They are searching for a deeper connection to the world around them, and for a more meaningful understanding of their place in the universe. They are discovering that the spiritual and metaphysical realm is not something separate from the physical world, but rather an integral part of it. They are recognizing that the well-being and growth of their souls, is just as important as the well-being of their physical bodies.

The concept of Ascension, is one of the most discussed topic in the metaphysical community, it's the idea that humanity is collectively undergoing a process of spiritual and consciousness evolution, leading to a higher state of being. This process is seen as gradual and ongoing, and involves the raising of individual and collective consciousness, and the integration of spiritual wisdom and understanding into our daily lives.

The metaphysical community is a supportive and empowering network of individuals who are committed to personal growth, spiritual development, and the betterment of the world. This community offers a space for individuals to connect with like-minded people, share their experiences, and learn from one another.

It was the spring of 2017, just a few months after meeting Terry, that I asked him if he was interested in going to a psychic and wellness fair.  I had gone to one while I was at the university as a student and I hadn't been to one since then.  So off we went to the fair here in Eau Claire and met our first ever medium, Kristina Bloom, who read for both of us and really impressed Terry.  Then we went to Stevens Point to a fair and was read by a medium, DeEtte Ranae, which started opening something in Terry I hadn't expected.  The final straw was another fair a few months after where Terry met Kathy Drinkman who performed a Reiki healing, and that was the spark Terry needed that really shifted his life in a different direction.  In 2018 as a certified Reiki Master Terry opened his first office in an office building here in town and we called the business Soul and Synergy.  Fast forward to 2023 and we have our own brick and mortar store, a radio show, and now a publication. We own and operate a subsidiary called Meta Para Promotions that puts on wellness and paranormal fairs in Wisconsin and Minnesota at least twice a month in various locations.  We also participate as a vendor in our colleagues fairs. We offer classes and programs in our store classroom on just about anything in this area.  Its been like a fairy tale for so long.  But it really didn't hit me how great we were doing until we hired employees and started having to do payroll.  Nothing legitimizes success like paying the employer portion of federal, state, unemployment, and workers compensation taxes and fees. Our first W-2s come out in a week or so and I feel like I should bake a cake.  But in reality Terry is the front man of our business and I assist in the after hours classes/events and weekend activities.

The metaphysical community is a melting pot of individuals from different modalities, backgrounds, and cultures. They are united by a common goal, to understand the greater mysteries of the universe and to help individuals align their energy and remove blockages to promote well-being. The community provides a safe space for individuals to grow, learn and connect with others. It's a beautiful thing to see more and more people waking up to the idea that there is more to this world than what meets the eye. This is the time for more people to join the community and start their own journey of self-discovery.

A very special thank you to Kristina Bloom, DeEtte Ranae , and Kathy Drinkman for starting us on this journey. Thank you for continuing your support throughout the years as your mentorship and friendship has blessed us more than you know.

Where can we find our purpose?

Many people spend their entire lives searching for their divine purpose - that special calling or mission that gives their life meaning and direction. But how do we find our divine purpose? And what role do metaphysical practices play in this process?

One of the best ways to start finding your divine purpose is to connect with your inner self. This can be done through practices such as meditation, yoga, and journaling, which can help you quiet your mind and tap into your inner wisdom. These practices can also help you get in touch with your values, passions, and interests, which can provide valuable clues about your divine purpose.

Another way to find your divine purpose is to explore your passions and interests. What are you naturally drawn to? What activities or hobbies bring you joy and fulfillment? These passions and interests can provide valuable insight into your divine purpose, as they often reflect the things that are most important to you and that you are most naturally skilled at.

Metaphysical practices can also be a helpful tool in finding your divine purpose. For example, practices such as astrology, tarot reading, and crystal healing can provide insight and guidance on your path. These practices can help you tap into your intuition and inner wisdom, and they can provide valuable perspective and guidance on your journey.

It's important to remember that finding your divine purpose is a personal and individual journey, and there is no one-size-fits-all approach. What works for one person may not work for another, and it may take time and patience to discover your true calling.

One of the keys to finding your divine purpose is to stay open and receptive to new experiences and opportunities, and to be willing to take risks and step out of your comfort zone. By embracing new challenges and exploring new paths, you may discover your true passion and purpose in life.

When it comes to finding your divine purpose, it's important to remember that the journey often involves facing and working through your own shadows - those parts of yourself that you may not be aware of or that you may be unwilling to acknowledge. This process, known as shadow work, can be challenging, but it is essential to finding your true calling and living a life that is authentic and fulfilling.

One of the main reasons that shadow work is so important is that it helps you to become more self-aware. By facing and dealing with your own shadows, you can gain a deeper understanding of your own motivations, fears, and patterns of behavior. This self-awareness can help you to make better decisions and to live a more authentic and fulfilling life.

Shadow work can also help you to heal from past wounds and to move beyond limiting beliefs and behaviors. By acknowledging and working through the shadows of your past, you can let go of old patterns and begin to create a new and more positive future for yourself.

There are many different ways to do shadow work, and the approach that is best for you will depend on your own needs and preferences. Some people find it helpful to work with a therapist or coach, while others prefer to explore their shadows through practices such as journaling, meditation, or dream work.

Regardless of the approach you choose, it is important to remember that shadow work can be a challenging and uncomfortable process. It may involve facing difficult emotions and confronting parts of yourself that you may not be comfortable with. However, the rewards of shadow work are well worth the effort, as it can help you to find your divine purpose and to live a more authentic and fulfilling life.

In the end, on the journey to finding your purpose you ultimately find yourself.  Everything that makes you tick, from the good to the bad and to the ugly.  This is where acceptance plays a major role in our lives, so we're not clouded by the fear, guilt, and regret of the past.  Being present in the now and manifesting your future is so much easier this way and you'll find that your purpose finds you.
